The Cast of Blood In the Bayou

Whilst the main campaign on the podcast is a pirate-themed campaign called Riptide, for halloween in 2022, Just Roll with It publically posted the first episode of their halloween horror Special: Blood In The Bayou. BITB uses the TTRPG toolset of Call of Cthulu; the first episode being on their youtube channel The rest being posted online to their patreon for teir one and above to help the creators further pursue their career and pay for art and soundtracks.

Blood in the Bayou is set in the fictional sleepy town of Galloway Louisiana, 1983. Galloway is a bayou town (as the title of 'Blood in the Bayou' suggests) With an ecosystem mostly Oak, cedar, spruce and bald cypress trees, alongside several different trees displayed on Galloway's official town map; which suggests a type of pink-leafed tree alongside purple-leafed trees can grow.

Galloway is a town with one lone enterance and exit that sits at the mouth, which shows that the town it'self is a dead end for the citizens in it. This is further reinforced with the tip of Galloway being it's graveyard before running off into more wetlands and marsh. Our main cast of Blood in the Bayou being Timothy Rand (or just 'Rand' as he prefers), Kian Stone and Rolan Deep. Whilst the latter two left Galloway after graduating, Rand stayed in Galloway. Himself rotting away inside it, much like the rest of the citizen.

Timothy, in highschool, had attended a party instead of babysitting his little sister, Rachel Rand. The consequences of this being his little sisters' disapperance. Throughout Blood in the Bayou, it's made clear that Timothy's depressive spiral certainly either started or escalated from the loss of his sister, consistently blaming himself and wishing he was there for her. It was most likely around this time that Rand took to smoking weed with Kian and Rolan, who later claims to no longer smoke. Later into his highschool years, Rolan left highschool first to pursue a career as a lawyer.

Rolan has one thing in common with Rachel being that he himself has also disappeared. Though unlike Rachel, Rolan had been replaced. What had took Rachel was this cosmic entity we're going to call 'Bugs' for the sake of simplicity and what they base their apperance on (most likely from contact with before they met their human base, Rachel). It's unclear of when Rolan was replaced as the age thrown around it always different, however growing up, Rolan was never quite the exact same as before. Sure, he still attended the DND sessions that Rand hosted, the bug adapted his body as he aged and learnt new things about it's flesh suit and the personality it curated was still Rolan Deep. Though he was never fully human after this incident.

Upon Rolan leaving Galloway, Rand grew bitter towards him. Whilst Rand knew that Kian would never stay in galloway (what with his larger than life personality and asiprations towards becoming a rockstar), he thought that Rolan would of stayed by his side forever. Though that was clearly not the case. Kian stayed by his side for a few more years yet Rand's depression was clearly growing worse and eventually Kian left to pursue his career, Leaving Rand in Galloway.

Kian Stone went to Hollywood to chase his dreams of becoming a rockstar, a shared dream with his crush at the time, Becky. Whilst prior he'd had a fling with a quaterback called Jesse, his heart was always set on Becky. Once reaching Hollywood however, things were much worse than he'd presumed and Kian ended up needed therapy during his time spent in Hollywood being an acountant. Yes, an acountant. Kian hadn't been as lucky as he'd hoped in Hollywood.
